Thorp is an unincorporated town lying adjacent to the Yakima River and Northwest of Ellensburg. The Thorp School District renovated the building housing the junior and senior high schools and it has become the cornerstone of the community. The Thorp Grist Mill, which at one time provided flour for the community, has been restored and offers tours during the summer months. The Thorp Fruit and Antique Mall draws customers off the I-90 freeway and has become the gateway to Thorp.
